The Southern Style Now Festival in New Orleans featured a stunning showhouse, panel discussions, and cocktail parties with talented design industry professionals. The showhouse was transformed by 27 designers with Southern roots or influence. The 15-room Uptown, historic charmer housed exquisite fabrics, wall coverings, artwork, furnishing, and accessories that one walk-through wasn’t enough. Here are a few of my favorite rooms!
Betsy Hazard (Shaun Smith Home) – the use of wallpaper and blue lacquered walls disguised the awkward ceiling in this small bathroom
Paloma Contreras – de Gournay hand-painted wallpaper panels, Suzanne Kasler crystal table lamp, dramatic Schumacher fabric
Jonathan Savage – cottage guest bedroom filled with textures and soft neutrals
Melissa Rufty – custom marbleized fabric wall panels that covered the foyer and stairwell walls
Graci Interiors – beautiful stone surfaces with black border, softening with antiques
